In my work as a Feldenkrais practitioner and Physical Therapist Assistant I have come to realize there are as many different kinds of practitioners as there are clients. Each of us are unique.

Psychotherapy for Individuals, Couple and Families

Kyle Lee Williams, MA LMHCMy work as a Feldenkrais Practitioner has always gone hand in hand with my work as a psychotherapist. I discovered Feldenkrais as a former professor dancer after I had pushed and forced my body to do the impossible for decades. After dancing, I spent years in academia hunched over books and computers. My body had been forgotten. When I stood up from the table pain free after a Functional Integration lesson, I was hooked. Nothing feels quite like it, the re-calibration of the nervous system from the inside out. We can all recognize that the nervous system that regulates mood and behavior is the same nervous system that often holds deep memories of trauma or grief. It is also the very same nervous system that carries untold potential for genuine, creative self expression, and transformation. We can recover and we don’t always need drugs to do it. Since 2001, I’ve been helping people integrate mind and body, psyche and soma. Currently, I work with clients using both movement and sound therapies to assist in their recovery from depression, anxiety, or the effects of detoxification and titration from a variety of psychopharmaceutical and other drugs. I have worked with infants with birth trauma, children and adults with autism spectrum disorders, TBI, cerebral palsy, MS, and stroke. I’ve also worked extensively with performing artists, musicians, and athletes to help them recover and expand their creative potential. At Neuroplasticy Spokane, I tell every patient I see, “Mind, Body, Spirit, it’s one and the same Life.” May you live yours to the fullest!
